MAG has joined the mobilization with other progressive groups and organizations in Metro Manila on July 2019 to campaign for the promotion and observance of human rights in all of the government policies and programs, and asserting Philippine sovereignty. This is still a response to the rampant and continuous disrespect of the government to human rights principles and inaction to respond to the violations. As with the previous SONA, the administration’s flagship campaign on the War on Drugs (WOD) and anti-terrorist campaign has been highlighted, less has also been said about the delivery of social services.The continuous call of the group is to respect, protect, and promote human rights, end the assault against human rights defenders, and give more attention to responding to the need for basic social services instead of the flagship WOD program of the government.
