A TRAINING ON FORENSIC INVESTIGATION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

The Medical Action Group (MAG) hosted a training offering the necessary knowledge and skills for health and legal professionals as well as civil society organizations on the subjects of  forensic investigation and medico-legal procedures and protocols. The training, titled “Training on Forensic Investigation for Human Rights Violations”, was held on January 15-16, 2019. 

This training included: overview of the legal framework (in the point of view of human rights investigation); basic principles and concepts on rules and evidence in investigation; an overview of the Minnesota Protocol; forensic investigation in context of extrajudicial killings; aspects of injuries in reportable deaths; basic concepts and principles of photography; and techniques in obtaining information.
