MAG has joined a mobilization in Metro Manila, with the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA), along with other progressive organizations, religious groups and partner communities, on September 2019, to commemorate the Martial Law period through a program where some of the survivor-victims shared their experiences on human rights violations. After this, a religious (Catholic) mass has been held in honor of the victims, survivors, and families of the Martial Law era, as well as the families of the victims of extrajudicial killings (EJKs) that has also attended this same activity. PAHRA-IDEFEND has also released a statement on its stand against the possible return of totalitarian rule and how it will not be acceptable to happen again. The activity was sum-up with a candle-lighting activity/ protest held outside the venue.
