Protect Human Rights Defenders

The Medical Action Group (MAG) in its activities continuously made efforts to work with the UN system  with a mandate to protect human rights defenders through continuous communication and joint submission of reports to relevant stakeholders. The submission is part of the “Use of Evidence Based Approach to Human Rights Documentation and Monitoring for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and their Families, and in the Fight Against Impunity” project in partnership with the Task Force Detainees of the Philippines (TFDP) with support of the European Union (EU).

Information from Civil Society Organizations, the joint submission report of the International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) with various Philippine CSOs to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR) Pre-Sessional Working Group (and List of Issues) for the Philippines, on the situation of human rights defenders working on economic, social and cultural rights in the Philippines.
