MAG has joined a solidarity night in November 2019, with the UATC and the OMCT, together with Commission of Human Rights (CHR) Commissioner Chito Gascon, on the celebration of the 10th year after the Anti-Torture Law has been signed into law. The activity sis geared towards celebrating the journey of the law, its win, and the call for it to be implemented more strictly. As such, the UATC has released a statement demanding the full implementation and monitoring of the law (i.e. only one has been convicted throughout the years, whereas torture and CIDTP is still rampant) and has been submitted to the CHR for them to take action.
