Even during the pandemic, emphasis on the human rights approach in crafting government programs towards pandemic response should be prioritized. No other health response will be more appropriate when it disregards accountability and rule of law, when it undermines the right to safe lives of millions of Filipinos including front liners, and when it threatens human rights defenders in the middle of health crisis.
